"DON'T WORRY PA" By Nolan Moon Now I lay me down to sleep, And I pray the Lord, my soul to keep. And if I die, before I wake, I pray the Lord, my soul to take. God bless Momma, God bless Grandma and pa, And God bless my dog Ruff. Oh and Lord, I don't know if he's up there yet, but please Sir, I'd like to talk to my daddy, If you don't mind Sir, he should be there, we sent him to you today. Well Dad can you hear me? It's me daddy, it's your little boy. The one with the freckles and red hair. You know the one you named, Roy. Papa I hate to disturb you while you're up there. But you left so fast, We didn't get to talk. There's something I need to ask, I wish we could take one of our walks. Dad I don't understand, Cause Momma cries too much. All she'll do is take me by the hand, Then talk about how, if only you and her could touch. And all the people -around here, say it's a pity, That I'll never see you no more. Is that so? I've got to know. Dad I told Momma tonight, that I must be too young, and not able to see. But I don't feel you've left me. Well God may have borrowed you, Cause, sometimes he needs help too. Maybe He knew you were a good dad. But I feel you here now, with me, you bet I do, and I don't know how, But I can be sure it's you. And don't worry about Mom, She'll stop her crying and be calm. I'll cheer her up and fill her with joy, so good night dad, and good-bye. Your boy, Your big boy, Roy.
