SANDPRINTS By Nolan Moon Alone I watched, by lunar light. You walk within, then out of sight. Leaving behind, a trail of prints. Inspiring me, to track your scents. So; Footprints in the sand, tell me who I am. Am I just a wanderer, was I am, or were. Oh footprints in the sand, trail of understand. Leading me abound, Stalking a subtle sound. You walked ahead, I walked behind. You unaware, me of mind. I was observing, you walking so. You carrying a burden, upon your soul. So; Footprints in the sand, Impressions in the land. As I follow these along, To find another to sing my song. Oh footprints in the sand, trail of understand. Leading me abound, Stalking a subtle sound. I felt you, needing me there. To walk with you, and follow you where. So I sped my pace, along prints in sand. Came along side you, and took your hand. We seem to enhance, the needs we share. As we turned to, two tracks back to where. Singing; Footprints in the sand, led us by the hand. As we sing our song, knowing we belong. Footprints in the sand, trail of understand. Leading us abound, Stalking a subtle sound. Footprints in the sand, tell me who I am. Am I just a wanderer, tell me who we were.
