FOREST KINGDOM By Nolan Moon Through the glass of the future, the distant past will fade. The morning dew will dry up, And the sun will make the shade. In a time when motion is extinct, Where the trees or lawn are never kept. The rulers are the sun and moon, The kingdom stirs beneath the forest deepth. With no security all are welcome, and their arrival is soon forgot. They blend and form the community, The knowledge they have already sought. The reassures of the kingdom, are a mere pittance. But to they, they hold the key, To nature's logic and common sense. Their master is their slave; his crown becomes their hat. The castle is really only a cave; his lion is really a cat. He fights his dragons well, Sword and shield, he shows his courage. As he sends the dragons back to hell, the king of under age. He's a twenty-first century conquestidor, a Don Quixote in his own time. His kingdom will stand forevermore, Until Mom calls him for suppertime. So he packs up his fantasies, and tucks them in a drawer. Then he'll memorize these, Until he invents some more.
