"SOLIUS" By Nolan Moon I promised myself, To not shed a tear. I'll just hold my head high, and face the fear. Being alone, Won't be so bad. I'll just sit here in my tears, remembering the love I once had. I don't know that they're gone. And alone I'll sit, Until the coming of dawn. Well the kitchen's a mess, and the plants will die. And I'm wondering if, it wasn't all a lie. All the good times that we had, all the plans that we made. Were they just make believe. Have they been left to fade? Sitting by myself, Alone in this room. Drowning on pity, Calling for my doom. The mirror reflects, All that's left in the house. A somber reflection, With me as the louse. Is my life folded here, is the play over now. Have the credits been read, is this where I bow. Am I sorry for them, or sorry for me? Don't know which way to turn, or which say to plea. No use staining my shirt, With these drops of emotion. Got to stop crying, Or start a new ocean. Well they will go pretty far, they've been taught very well. Thve'll do good be themselves I'll just sit here in hell. If I just lost them now, the thought does occur. Through some silly logic, Did I ever have them at.... all Let not my spirit be cast Onto the winds of deteirment. Feaverishly the fight goes on with or without my attention. Shall I be a part? Forging my own pride. The knowledge that I fought on the line. Laying down my instincts my very existence. Calling forth my utter most, The exasperations of my lungs, Crying in the darkness To those who can't hear. Shouting in the light To those who simply won't. Proded on four sides. The wills and the ways well test the whys and the don'ts, The only point that enemies and friends agrees that they strike me.
