NIGHT CROSSING By Nolan Moon I walk in cities of steel and heat, hearing music from gadgets And words from plastic people. All that I ever see is death the dying earth, the dying sun, and the dying sky. So let me run, run as far as I can reach, Let me touch the fiber of grass, the breath of the wind to touch the sun, the moon, the heaven that I know, that I see, that I hear, that Part of me that strives to be, to be there my should my heart my mind, I see this in a reflection Of my spirit, still, glassy and serene. If I cannot have this at least in my dreams then I am not worth the effort to breath, nor the simple heart beat of the tiny sparrow, Let me run, let me be, Set it free.
