MINE ALONE By Nolan Moon Hotline meadow bright, Shimmering sky, Of reflective light. Bit of dew upon thy crest, to bathe my body, while I rest. Your virtues I do rant, as I lie down, Mixing flesh and plant. Grass entangle face and hair, as I learn, Our souls to pair. Skin pricked from bits of burr, as I hear, Your creatures stir. Melodic songs of fowl a near, encased in caution, but not in fear. Spirits bound of past and present, their freedom comes, With their willful intent. Basic laws, past and set, nature's freedoms, Never challenged yet. Thoughts and mind cast afar, as I watch, The coming of evening star. Meadow doused in lunar light, I say good-bye, To a somber sight.
